I miss understood how much pumpkin to give my dog and she's been throwing up since last night?

Our dog started waking us up in the middle of the night to go poo. My husband says she looks like she's straining so I decided to try the pumpkin but miss under stood the instruction or was given the wrong one on a website can't remember. Anyway, I bought a small can of pumkin, squash puree and gave the whole thing to our dog. It took about 6 hours then she started to puke it all out during the night. I slept with her because she was really not feeling well and relaxed with me there. She a big german sheppard,lap mix. Should I get her in or wait and see. we are tight on money so if we can wait we'd like that.
