before you follow through with the intake gasket, understand that a lube tech might be jumping to conclusions with that situation. if they saw oil and water mixture under the oil cap, that is a sign of condensation in the block. it is very normal for this time if year and will be so fro a few more months. as the engine cools off, it pulls fresh air into the block. if any moisture is in that air, it will have the opportunity to do just what has happened in your engine. if you are that concerned, have a cylinder leak down test or have the cooling system pressure tested to see if it holds pressure for a while. either one would eliminate the issue that you are being told exists.
